THE CONQUEROR
By Clarence E. Flynn in Christian Herald
I still believe the deepest need
That wrings this world so scarred and old,
Broken by sin, and pride, and greed,
Is that the truth be fully told.
I still believe that human kind,
Wearing its chains of doubt and fear,
Through dreary ages bait and blind.
Will follow on when truth is clear.
I still believe truth has the power t
However dark the night may be,
To bring the morning's dawning hour.
And set all peoples grandly free,
I still believe the day will come
When error wrong and doubt shall fail.
And tnis world be a happy home,
For truth shall everywhere prevail.
