The following vtar alone had
help from the county of $1000.00
We paid the balance for a year
and a half. We were responsible
for many ccrrecrions of Eye Ear
and teeth trouble by calling atten
tion of parents to them. We assis
ed in and financed the removals
of about ten tonsil and adnoid
cases, serveJ four children under
l'he Crippled Childrens act. We
looked after and investigated
about twei y deliquient cases,
cnildren as well as parent, three
tuburcular ctsea in Lexington;
gave monej to two destitute fum
ilies, paid for lunches furnished
the men who volunteered Iheir
time and labor from Heppner to
help clean up the streets of Lex
intfton this summer after their
flood. Helped hospitalize an ex
service man. assisted family be
fore and after death in lon-,
served and furnished nurse in
sickness near lone; two families
destitute in Hardman. cluthes,
blankets, shoes and provisions.
Heppntr served two destitute
families, al led eight families
alter our recent fire this summer
Surely we have much to be
thankful to the Kelt Cross.
These are just a few of the local
assistance tendered. Also we
have furnished two doren glass
es to the ex veterns in hospitals.
Two bed or bath robes, and will
furnish vh ri finished twelve
sweated, Chspter furnishing
yarn, and twenty four beanies
or sleeping caps, and fifty silen
cers for slaming doorr and are
going to furnish a Loan Closet

in school snd various orders.

The people of Morgan gathered
at the school house Saturday
evening to attend an entertain
mnt which was given by the In
termediate Class of the M.rgan
Sunday school. The Halloween
motif was carried out in decorat
ion of orange and black.
The school house was divided
into booths which sold Cindy,
popcorn, andjeoffee. They gave
each purchaser of a cup of coffee
