Mr. and Mrs. Walton Young
of New Hall, California, accom
panied by Mr. Young's sisters In
law Mrs. E"a Adams, whose
home is in Vancouver, and
Minnie Baker, of Salem, were
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Prank
Young of lone, last week. They
arrived Saturday evening and
left for Vancouver early Monday
morning. From Vancouver they
will continue to Longview, Wash.,
accompanied by Mr. Baker, who
is Mr. Walton Young's broth r
la- Jaw. On their return to
Vancouver, Mr. and Mrs. Young
will complete thei journey to
California by train.

Mrs. Will Barlow arrived in
lone last Friday, for a visit wjth
ber daughters, Mrs. Lee Howe
and Mrs. Grant Olden, and ber
son, Mr. Urt Barlow. Mrs.
Barlow baa been making her
home in Portland for the last
year.
Mr. W. R. Cochran arrived in
lone last week to look after

Saturday for a week or ten days

Mr. J. W Witherell, C. P. A.
of Pendleton, Oregon, who has
been checking the accounts of
the Jordan Elevator Co., this
week, completed his work Thurs
day, and returned to Pendleton.

Mr, Myers I las trpke
Last Sunday evening while
seated at the supper table, Mr,
Eugene Myers suffered a partial
stroke of paralysis induced by a
cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Myers, who was at Elmer
Hall's home on the Frank Young
ranch, was brought into town
the same night and is now under
medical treatment at the resi
dence of his daughter, Mrs.
Frank Young.
Mr. Myers, who is seventy years
old, was among the earliest
settlers in Morrow County. He
is resting easily, but has a very
small chance of recovery. The
attending Physician is Dr. John
son of Heppner.
Herbert Myers of La Grande
was railed to lone, Monday, on
account of his father's serious
illness. He drove from LaUrande
to Jone in CJhoura.

Raymond's Farm and lone school
and between Cool's farm and
