"Analysis of the individual recorda

$2000 per year, W of them made from
13000 to I4O0O gross income. 36 made
from $4000 to $;000 gross income and

Has Almost Perfect
Record of Attendance
Washington, March 23. (Special.)
Of the entire number of Senators
now in office the three who have
shown the greatest attention to the
interesta of their constituents, and
who have been most consistently in
their seats are Senators McNary,
Capper and Shepard.
Such is the atatement of Assistant
Secretary Harry M. Rose of the LTni
ted States Senate, who has custody
of the roll calls of senators and he
bases his statement on the records
of the roll calls during the terms of
the sonstors.
So far as Senator McKary ia con
cerned his record is almost perfect.
The only time he was away from roll
catla aince he cams to the Senate was
during the time of the death and
funeral of his wife some years ago.
and later when he was confined to his
hotel by the grippe.
Official figures tell the story of
Senator McXarys devotion to Oregon
and the Vnited States. He has not
missed a aingle roll call or been ab
sent from his desk during all the ses
sions since this congress met in
December.

"Now from these gross receipts,
Mr. Besse explains, "all cash expenses
of production and operation and all
interest on borrowed capital must he
deducted. The balance represents the
amount the farmer has left for inter
est on his investment and for his la
bor of his family.
"While these figures look a bit dis
couraging, there is very little about
them to depress farmers. They rep
resent averages. When all the facts
are known about the individual in
comes it is clear that many of the
farmers were making nice profits,

SoTheyVotedfor'TH"
The quesiton in the Graham home was whether
it was to be TH-rift or D-rift. The vote was for
TH-rift after Mrs. G. presented it thusly:
"Are we content to drift along with no prepara
tion for the future?
"Or, are we thriftly going to save money for the
future?
"A bank account will help us meet possible mis
fortune without a qualm.
"And when opportunity knocks it will make it
possible for us to take full advantage.
"Now what do you say, shall it be thrift or
drift?"
This bank helps people save by paying 4 percent
interest on saving accounts. Start yours today.
