musical program worthy of tha high
est praise. Every girl in th com
pany is a master in her particular
line, and the cornet and violin aolo
were especially g-ood.
Then was no program on Tuesday
afternoon as the Lombard entertain
ers were held up on the road and
arrived too lata for the performance.
The night program, however, supplied
all that was short in the afternoon.
The kiddies of Heppner opened the
program with the Magic Lunar Cir
cus nd an hour of mirth when ev
eryone hearkened back to days of
childhood, was had. Mr. Lombard
acted the part of clown and furnish
ed a number of laughs at the close
of the circus. Mr. and Mrs. Lombard
then presented their program of mu
sical and reading numbers, with a
few stunts, which was well received.
As a feature of their performance
Mr. Lombard played a tune on a
saw. Dr. Henry Gainea Hawn closed '
the d roe-ram with him lectur. MTh !
Soul of Things," in which ha gave
a philosophy for right living.
For the last day Norman V. Pearce.
Australian, entertained and instruc
ted with his lecture, "The World's
Curiosity Shop.M He gave many in
teresting facts about his native coun
try, and added spice with numbers of
curios, which he carries for show
purposes. 1 ha evening program was
given by the Garner Jubilee Singers,
with plantation melodies, camp meet
ing songs and classical music featur
ing. The Garner company is one of
the best jubilee groups ever heard in
Heppner.
From first to last the chautauqua
was a grand success, measured bv the
financial outcome and the class of
entertainment received, and many
good worus are spoken for the Elli-aon-White
company.

One good test
of the purity and stability of a motor oil is
the amount of carbon it forms.
Zerolene forms, on an average, 30? less car'
bon than other oils. The carbon is soft and
fluffy and most of it blows out with the ex'
haust. For this reason the Zerolenclubricated
automobile may be driven from 15 to 50"
farther without having the valves ground or
the cylinders rebored.
Zerolene forms less carbon than any other motor
oil known to us.
Insist on Zerolene even if it does cost less.
Ask for it by name Zerolene.

WHAT EVERY SUCCESSFUL
MAN KNOWS
The man who has worked for his accumulations; the man
with responsibilities of success, he knows the necessity and
full value of established relations with a first class banking or
ganization. Financing any business to success, whether it be mercan
tile, industrial or agricultural, is a job which requires courage.
But most important of all is to have an established credit and
a friendly business relationship with bankers of proven ability;
men of vision who know their own success can be only in pro
portion to yours.
No matter what your work may be you are striving for
success. Start today to establish your credit. This bank can
assist you. Carnegie's great fortune started in a small saving
account while he was delivering telegrams as a tiny lad in
Pittsburg.
