Political Banks Not Demo-!
cratic
From time to time an agitation is
raised against our banking sstem and
the cry (toes out that the money inter
ests are crushing the fanner,
j North Pakota under the Non-Partisan
league program started out to put
private banks out of business with
state owned and controlled banks and
. it has partially succeeded for during
i the past tt 0a s about a score of banks
j in that state have closed their doors.
I In the meantime there have been few
j bank failures elsewhere In the coun
; try and private banks, clearing houses
and bankers associations have been de
j vising ways and means to carry the
j farmers and other industry over the
temporary readjustment period,
j The agitator howls but the banks do
the work.
Time is proving that it is the private
banks and bankers, rather than the
politically controlled institution, that
ur.de: stands the reeds of the individual
or industry ar.d ian Rive immediate re
lief when the pmch comes.
Federal Faim loan Tanks with n
f.ttr tax exemptions for their securities,
postal savings banks, etc., all cut into
private bank business but do not serve
the masses nor furnish funds for the
individual or industry, pay taxes or
help maintain local or charitable in
stitutions necessary in community de

GLADYS WALTON and JACK PERRIN in
"Pink Tights"
Pretty romance of a spangled heroine whose parachute lands her on a bashful parson's roof.
Xo cleaner, Kweeter, more heart-reaching picture than "I'ink Tights" was ever made. A story that is
as natural ami wholesome as an old-fashioned country dinner and just as satisfying. The story of a lit
tle stranded circus girl who, the minister's flock thought, wasn't good enough to he allowed in town,
much less in the parsonage until something pretty serious happened to that town ami they came to
K0(1 H1t that's telling. Come, yourself, to see "Pink Tights" you'll have the happiest hour and one of
the biggest thrills you ever had at any photodrama. Take our word for it Hi is is a real picture!
