It is no wonder that is the way your car is run
ning now, with the poor gas we are getting.
Yet you are probably spending in small dribbles
an amount sufficient to give your car a thorough
overhauling-putting it in A 1 condition, so that
it will give you complete satisfaction in spite of the
low quality of gasoline,
We'll be pleased to figure with you on the work.

oruer to market the enormous hay crop
of nearly every section of o:econ, much
winter fvt unif must be resoru-ii to and j
a brisk home market for much of our i
feeding stuff oupht to be in tviJenee. '
The desert section of Ore.cun. which j
has formerly been ustd as a winter
rai.pe ftr many of our interior shep- j
herus, but whioh owintr to the high
price of sheep during the war period,
was not ust-tl because of certain winter
hazards, is now being thrown into use
for the cheap carrying over of many
of our range Hocks. The early fall ;
rains have insured a rank growth of all !
desert grasses and a spring lamb crop j
far above the average ought to result
from this year's carry over of all range ,
breeding ewes. The spring market, i
which has been exceedingly poor fori
the past year should be materially
helped by purchasers from Montana,!
Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain 1
States that have experienced heavy j
winter losses during last jear and a;
lamb crop of but fifty per cent of the t
normal. ;
Cattle seem to have reached the bot-j
torn and a slight climb in price might 1
well be looked for. Were it not for our;
abundant hay crops the feeder and
yearline end would be a source of
some little concern, but as the feed sit- j
uation is entirely satisfactory and!
much outside range is everywhere re- i
ported these unsold animals may well'
be put to the profitable task of gar- j
nering a feed crop that might other- :
wise go ungathered. Statistics show J
that Oregon cattle profits are made i
from the range running of cattle rath-j
er than from the feed lot. This year,
might show a much better spriny bal-f
ance than is now looked for. The Ore
gon cattle producer has materially im
proved the quality of his animals by
the bringing in and use of pure blood
ed bulls on the ranee and with good
feed, a high and desirable type of ani
mal will be offered the range states
feeders and shippers.
Horses aie steadily becoming more
in demand. Decreased feed costs and
stationary or increased gasoline costs,
ia swinging the pendulum back in fa
vor of the, horse. At present figuring,
barley at fcc oats at 60c. hay at 125.00
per ton and pasture at SI 5.00 per acre
for the year's pasture run rent of 170
days, we find that 23 3 bushels of rolled
barley, 37 S bushels of oats, 1.7 tons of
hay will keep an averaee Oregon horse
working under average Oreeron farm

The superior quality of the MAJESTIC RANGE
over ordinary cook stoves was clearjy and conclusive
ly demonstrated at our store during the past week.
THE LITTLE EXTRA COST
in price of this super-stove is soon saved by its econ
omy in fuel, food and repairs and it outlasts three
ordinary stoves.
Don't just buy a stove BUY A MAJESTIC
RANGE.
