NDTICF. IS HI RI BY GIVEN that on Thursday, the 2nd day of De
cember. liOO. the County Court of Morrow County, Oregon, will
he in regular session at the Court House in Heppner, Oregon, and
any taxpayer of Morrow County. Oregon, will be heard in favor or against
the proposed tax lew hereinafter proposed:
ITEMIZED STATEMENT
Prepared in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 234 of the 1913
Oregon Session laws, showing an estimate of the amount of money re
n,,;.t to he raised hv taxation bv Morrow County, Oregon, for the year
vear 1920. and also the estimated amount of the balance in the various
office or officer, and for each county improvement and maintenance of pub
lic highways, roads and bridges, and for the other contemplated expenai-
Also showing the probable receipts of Morrow County, Oregon, from
sources other than direct taxation upon real ana personal property rorrac
vear 1921. and also the estimated amount of the balance in the various
funds of Morrow County, Oregon, at the date levy will be made.
It is estimated that it will require a levy of 13 Mills to raise the amount
shown bv the above estimate, after deducting all estimated receipts from
other sources than taxation.

Salem. The first carload of th new
Thes prunes went out last week to
Chicago to break Into the eastern mar

selling force. The prunes are done up
in cartons with an attractive Oregon
label
Ashland. Hatpins are to be made
from Oregon acorns and sycamore by
a factory which has been epened here
for the purpose of manufacturing such
articles.
