REL PG1SCNIHG CAMPAIGN-SPECIALLY
PREPARED POISON IB CTS. QUART
At the last meeting of the Morrow
County Farm Bureau F.xecutive Com
mittee, they arrived ut the decision
to go after the ground sijuirrels Im
mediately. After considerable discus
sion it was decided to make this a
voluntary campaign so far as possi
ble If farmers should cooperate 3
well In a squirrel campaign as they
have iu the rabbit campaign there
will be no necessity to ask for the en
forcement of tho Hodent Law.
The poison for the campaign Is on
hand and enough will be mixed from
time to time to keep the farmers sup
plied. The funds for providing and
mixing this puisuu are furnished by
the membership funds of the Farm
Bureau, and anyone Is entitled to
membership. The poison used is pre
pared according to a fomula funisned
by the United States biological Sur
vey alter many years of experiment.
It will be furnished to Farm Bureau
members ut 16 cents per quart, and
is mixed us deadly as It is possible
to put It together. This formula has
given universal satisfaction and we
most heartily recommend it for a
trial. To men who are not members
uf the Farm Bureau we would ad
vise you to become such but in as
much as the members are furnishing
the funds for the preparation of this
poison the non-members wil be char
ged 1!0 cents per quart. This money
then returns to the Farm bureau for
further use.
Now Is the time to kill the squir
rels, one now will mean the saving of
several later on. The poison will be
placed in the hands of your local Ro
dent Committeemen, und it may also
be secured from the County Agent's
ollice, or will be expressed to you up
on w ritten request.
We hope that you will mail us a
statement at once of the probable a
motitit that you will require as it is
impossible for us to mix at one time
as. much as would be required for the
entire county. Because of lack of
funds, we will however, endeavor to
keep a supply on hand to meet re
quirements. This poison will not harden or de
teriorate from year to year. This Is
an advantage over any other formula
with which we are familiar. Use this
poison as you would uny other squir
rel poison. The best way being to
place it in tho hole, but place it where
the squirrels will get It. In poison
mi; paslureland or range land adja
cent to fields, try scattering It broad
cast, as this has proven generally sat
isfactory.
He sure (hat you are not one of tni
farmers who allows his squirrels to
go mi poisoned and fatten on other
peoples grass or his neighbor's grain.
Let every man do his part, let the
squirrels suffer, und let the poison do
the work.
Here's for dead squirrels.

YKSTKKD.1Y, TODAY AND FOB
EVER, I remember, I remember,
In eighteen ninety-six,
How Young Bill Bryan shot across
The skies of politics.
A callow youth he was, but still
I'll say for William J.
He had the O. 0. P. scared stiff
Until election day.
I remember, I remember,
That four years after that
The hope that swelled in William's
breast
Again was busted flat.
They thought they had him licked for
keeps,
But the eternal throb
Of yearning in his massive chest
Was still right on the Job.
I remember, I remember,
Along in nineteen eight,
How William stood again outside
The presidential gate;
And how, when turned away once
more,
Smart guys like me and you
Observed with fine finality,
"At last Doc. Bryan's thru."
I remember, I remember,
A newsboy's recent cry,
"Bill Bryan's going to run again.
He kept the country dry."
And I could not help but think,
With wild, unholy Joy,
That he is farther from the Job
Than when he was a boy!
