IF YOU FAIL to vote YES on the Morrow County Road Bond
Measure oh JUNE THIRD
You will have thrown a stumbling block in the
way of progress in Morrow County that will
take years to overcome. The future prosperity
and progress of the county depend upon our
ability to now build good and permanent roads
throughout the county. The development of
your own home and the prosperity of. your
business depend upon this measure. The
transportation problems must be solved and
without the funds provided by this bond meas
ure nothing can be done.
Remember that if Morrow County bonds her
self to the legal limit at this time she will, thru
co-operation with the state and federal govern
ments, on the building of. certain roads, receive
four dollars in road work for each dollar of
county funds expended. In other cases where
state co-operation only is provided the county
will receive two dollars for one in road expen
ditures. Such an opportunity will never come
to Morrow County again. The generous state
appropriations provided by our last legislature
will soon be exhausted and we must provide
a means of getting our share. The State High
way Commission will belp only those who help
themselves. It must be borne in mind by the
taxpayers and voters of Morrow CQunty that
if we fail to vote this bond issue we will be
compelled to bear our share of the state at
large in the ten million dollar issue, while oth
er counties who do vote their local issues will
get the full benefit of the state's funds.

Irrigation Project on JUNE THIRD

You will have missed the opportnnity to add seven million acres'of rich productive land
to the taxable property of the state without cost to the State of Oregon.
