Bluebird Photoplays, Inc., have
found for dainty Ella Hall another of
those agreeable child parts in which
she is the happiest the role of a
Belgian orphan, shipped here with a
company of war dependants, to And a
friendly shelter. Three bachelors
each adopt a child, selecting their or

Lescere" reads good to one of the old
boys, but great is his surprise to find
that Rene is not the boy he had an

Game as a pebble the "bach" goes on
cleverly conceived and skillfully ex
executed photoplay to be exhibited
at the Star theatre on Saturday, Jan.

Devotees of the screen will find it sat

crime or fractured codes Just a good
and wholesome photoplay, that is
bound to leave pleasant memories.

"They are the best aggregation of
entertainers along their line I have
ever had the pleasure of listening to,"
said S. E. Notson In speaking of the
Alpine Yodlers who are coming to .the
high, school auditorium Wednesday,
January 23.
Mr. Notson has had the pleasure of
hearing the Swiss Alpine Yodlers on
former occasions and he does not hes
itate to say they will prove the best
entertainment coming to Heppner in
many a day. Those who have been
present at the first two numbers of
the Midland Lyceum Course know
the line of entertainment which this
bureau Is furnishing.
The mountain people of Switzer
land are distinctively musical. They
just bubble over with song and seem
by nature adapted to easily change
the ordinary voice to the falsetto.
This Is called Yodellng and is an art.
which most people have discovered, if
they have ever attempted it. The Al
pine Yodlers are natives of Switzer
land and by right of birth have ac
quired this wonderful art, which only
the people of Switzerland seem able
to master In the perfect degree.
