IT'S PAST THE FOURTH OF JULY NOW--
BUT REMEMBER!!
Perhaps you find it difficult in the warm July sunshine to remember how the
chill blasts of winter freeze one to the very bone! You may not be moved by the
thought of coal for September, October, November, December and January but you
are indeed careless ifvou forget it. If you wait, you can by no means be sure you
will get any at all.
We intend to take care of our customers' fuel need as far as it is possible to do
sobut vou should order at once all the "TUM-A-LUMP" your bin will hold.

After many amusing mishaps, Pete
Prlndle (Douglas Fairbanks) reach
es his ambition and wins the girl of
his choice In the comedy drama "His
Picture in the Papers." This Fine
Arts-Triangle production will be
shown at the Star theatre next Sun
day and Monday.
Pete is the son of Proteus Prindle,
manufacturer of 'Prindle'a Twenty
seven Varieties. After a vegetarian
banquet, Pete sneaks out to a shop
house, where he Is amazed to find
Christine Cadwaiader, daughter of
Christopher Cadwaiader. Christine
has been brought up on Prlndle pro
ducts, but she like Pete is not satis
fied with vegetarian fare. It is a case
of love at first sight, for they both
find that they are one In loving a big
juicy steak. . But Christopher is
traffic manager of the Pennsylvania
railroad, and he objects to Pete's
suit, unless that individual can be
come a partner In his father's firm.
That looks easy to Pete and he rush
es off to ask his father for the posi
tion. The elder Pringle happens to
be peeved at his son because the
youth has neglected to complete the
payroll on time. He contrasts the
conduct of his two daughters, Pansy
and Pearl, known as "28" and "29."
They have a page article on the Prin
gle products in the Vegetarian Gazette.
Pete scoffs at the effort and says
that he could get his picture on the
front page of the New York papers if
he tried. The father hands him $100
and tells him not to come back until
he has done so. On the following
morning Pete wakes up In a cheap
lodging house, where lie has gone to
conserve his slender resources. He
sees a picture of the victim of an
auto accident spread over the front
page of a paper. It gives him an
Idea. He buys a second hand ma
chine for $83.99 and runs it over a
cliff. Then lie goes below and stows
himself in the wreckage. Though
he is taken to the hospital, all the
notice he gets Is a line in an obscure
corner of the paper.
His next venture leads him to fight
with the champion middleweight at
the Sharkey Athletic club at Bridge
port. Just at the hour of victory the
police arrive and smash the cameras
showing Pete as the winner.
Discouraged by this setback, Pete
bororws a dollar from a friend to
consult with a fortune teller, Vera
Clews. Pete drinks until he Is almost
unconscious, but his friend ships him
off on a steamer for Vera Cruz by a
misunderstanding. Pete wakes up
when the steamer is passing Atlantic
City. When he finds out where he is
he swims ashore. After a fight and
an arrest he is released and starts to
tramD back to New York. He saves
a train from being wrecked by a par
ty of yeggs. They have put a box
car on the main track anl then blown
it up. It happens that Christopher
Cadwaiader and the daughter are on
the train and they overwhelm him
with congratulations on his brave
deed. Pete gets his picture on the
front page of all the New York pa
pers, is admitted to partnership and
gets the parental blessing on his un
ion to Christine.
Never have so many voluntary ex
pressions of satisfaction and good
will been received as those coming
from Cole Eight owners.
Never have sales been go great, nor
cars ardered so far in advance.
Never has the Cole been more
strongly entrenched as America's
dominent Eight.
Each day the growing demand for
the Cole Eight is more difficult to
meet.
The factory distributors for this
Pacific Northwest are literally
fighting for every carload shipped
into this territory.

Tires With a Grip of Steel. '
Leo Hill of this city has taken the
agency for the Lancaster Wlregrip
tire. The Wiregrlps have a thousand
claws to hold you safe and sound, ac
cordlne to Mr. Hill. Four endless
coils of triangular spring steel laid
narallel around the entire circumfer
ence of the tire are imbedded in the
thick live rubber tread.
Mr. Hill says that after a few miles
of wear these coils develop into in
numerable fine steel points which
project and grip the road with vise
like tenacity. They are absolutely
the most positive non-skid feature by
all odds to be found in any automo
bile tire. Some of the finer points of
Wlregrip tires as outlined by Mr. Hill
are as follows:
These gripping claws are mileage
insurance.
They make the Wiregrlps as near
ly puncture-proof as a tire can be
Seldom, if ever, does anything pene
trate the fine network of steel.
Only live Para rubber will hold the
wire. Nothing less will do. And it
is backed by many layers of closely
woven Sea Island fabric the hard
iest and (host durable material that
can be bought.
Reinforced by wire and strength
ened by the extra heavy fabric the
side walls are unusually tough and
durable as they must be to take the
extra strains that come when Wire
grips hold where other tires would
road-slip.
So the Wlregrip Is a 6,000 mile
tire. Most Wiregrlps are good for
much more. Even 20,000 miles is
not the limit.
Naturally the Wlregrip costs a lit
tle more at first than an ordinary
tire. But the extra miles given in
service, the extra side-wall strength,
its practically puncture-proof con
struction, makes it mighty Inexpen
sive in the end.
For the car you are now driving,
or for your new car, Insist upon Wire
grips. See our dealer In your town or
write to us and we will see that you
get Wlregrip Tires and the service
that goes with them. Adv.
