Dorothy Phillips will be intro
duced to the patrons of the Star
Theatre on Friday, April 27. by Blue
bird Photoplays in "The Price of Si
lence," an effective emotional drama,
adapted from W. Carey Wonderly's
magazine story by Ida May Park. Jo
seph De Grasse, the director who In
troduced Louise Lovely to the Blue
bird program, has Supervised the
production and an entertainment of
great value and interest is assured.
Seeking shelter from a storm
beautiful young girl and her youthful
admirer are forced to occupy the only
room available in a wayside tavern.
Lightning strikes the house and in
stantly kills the youth. A country
doctor rushes to the scene and to him
the girl discloses the fact that the
dead man is not her husband. The
doctor sympathetically promises to
help her In the emergency and does.

"The Common Law" by Robert W.
Chambers, featuring the star of film
stars, Clara Kimball Young, will be
flashed onto the screen at the Star
theatre on Sunday night. Robert W.
Chambers has never written a more
wonderful story than this brilliant
novel cf New York life. It's heroine,
Valerie West, artist model and phil
osopher, is one of the most sympa
thetic figures in modern literature.
As protrayed by Miss Young, she be
comes a living personification' of
sweet and noble womanhood. Her
Joys and sorrows, her trials and ulti
mate triumph in the love of Kelly
Neville, artist and gentleman, have
given the screen one of the few really
great proto-dremas ever produced.
Heppner to Hear Great Artists,
Charles South, violinist and Alice
Clement, pianist, will be heard in eon
cert at the Star theater on Monday
night, April 30. Mr. South to ene of
the few American artists recognized
abroad. Although born in Oregon he
has spent most of his life in Europe,

Celment is also an artist of unusual

spent two years in Berlin where she

splendid technical command of their
respective instruments, and although
