HEAR WITHOUT EARS
Police and Detectives Are Using Lip
Reading in Place of the
Dictagraph.
Thousands of deaf people are to
day throwing away all hearing de
vices and are enjoying all conversa
tion. This method is easily and
quickly acquired thru our system.
Absolutely the only thing of its kind
in the country. Our propostion is
entirely original. We guarantee re
sults, it will amaze you. Cost Is
trilling. See what New Internation
al Encyclopedia says on Lip Reading.
Hundreds of people with normal
hearing are taking up Lip Reading
for the many additional benefits
gained. You can understand what
the actors are saying in the moving
pictures. You can understand what
people are saying just as far away as
you can see them. The eye under
stands beyond the range of hearing.
Send no money, but mention this pa
per and state whether or not you are
deaf. All particulars will be sent ycu
absolutely free and with no expense
to you. Address, School of Lip Lan
guage, Kansas City, Missouri.
new book-case and an excellent jack
et for the stove. A can of water is
kept on the stove. The water supply
is kept in a closed jar, fitted with a
faucet. This school will be repre
sented in the project work.
In District No. 21, Miss Bertha
Stretcher is the teacher. This school
has a nice lot of play apparatus. The
pupils were at work upon a croquet
ground. This school expects to reach
the standard this year again, having
obtained all the points last year.
Mr. D. C. Conner is the teacher in
District No. 36. Mr. Conner is quit
a genius in the making of charts,
He has a phonic chart which he has
made and which is a most excellent
piece of apparatus for school use
The pupils of this school expect to
make a good showing in the project
work.
At Hardman, Prof. Bernard Pehr
and his assistant teachers are closing
a very successful year. A fine lot of
play apparatus has been placed upon
the premises. The rooms are all
striving to obtain the full number of
stars for the standard school. This
is the first year that the high school
has been separated from the grades
The work In the high school has at
tracted several outside pupils. Prof,
Pehr is planning to make a number
of improvements in the high Echool
next year. The teachers and pupils
presented a program which delighted
the people who came out to the eve
ning meeting. They deserve much
credit for the program, considering
that they had only a few days in
which to prepare. , Every number
was well rendered. The people
showed their appreciation by gen
erous applause and by complimen
tary remarks after the meeting
closed. We may expect some good
work in the industrial lines from
this school. Some of the smaller
girls have already done some splen
did needle work.
