CLOSING RULES OF CONTEST
No checks, except those that are certified, will be accepted in the ballot box for subscriptions; votes will be given on
drafts, postal orders, or currency for subscriptions.
Promptly at the hour named on the first page the contest will be announced closed, the judges will take charge of ihe
ballot box and the count of the votes in the ballot box (also a recount of the vote previous to the ballot box)
made, and from the total of the two the prizes will be awarded.
Each contestant will be required to make her own report on report sheets that will be furnished her at the Gazette-Times office and deposit same in
the ballot box in a sealed envelope so that no one can advise another as to the standing or have any idea of the standing of different con
testants; thus no favoritism can be shown.
