Trize-Winning Cock of Portland Shows.

ITH the Sixth Annual Exhibition, of the Oregon Poultry and Pet Stock Association to be held at Port
land the vek of December 7 to 12, will open the winter poultry show season of the Northwest. Some
of the finest birds on the Coast will be on display at that time.
In the above, splendidly posed photograph, is shown a winning bird at the last two shows at Portland. He
won first cockerel prize in 1912 and in 1913 captured first honors in the cock pen. The bird is owned by B.
Palmer of 101 East Nineteenth Street, North, Portland, who is a well known poultryman,
. The second floor of the Pittock Block, located between Washington, Stark, West Park and Tenth streets,
Portland, has been secured for this coming show. The entire floor, with the area of a city block, has been secured
for the event. Special lighting arrangements will be made. J. H. Drevenstedt of Buffalo, one of the best known
poultry judges in America, will be among the judges at the exhibition.
