About $2,000,000 a year leaves the Northwest to the fanners of Kansas and Nebraska
for poultry and eggs. Even China rashly is shipping to Oregon and Washington the of
ferings of Mongol hens. That money if kept at home would mean much to the West. It should
be kept at home. The way to do it is to raise poultry on those favms where it is not now kept
and where it is kept to make the yards sanitary and attractive to the chicken. Poultry will add,
if raised properly, in no small way to the profits of the farm.
