To go to the polls whether
you are registered or not
You are not a Loyal Citizen and you will have missed one of the greatest opportunities
ever afforded you to boost for Morrow County and Eastern Oregon
HO
To Vote YES on the Morrow
County Road Bond Measure
une li lino ir til
You will'have thrown a stumbling block in the
way of progress in Morrow County that will
take years to overcome. The future prosperity
and progress of the county depends upon our
ability to now build good and permanent roads
throughout the county. The development of
your own home and the. prosperity of your busi
ness depend-: upon this measure. The trans
portation problems must be solved and without
the funds provided by this bond measure nothing
can be done.
Remember that if Morrow County bonds herself
to the legal limit at this time she will, through
co-operation with the state and federal govern
ments, on the building of certain roads, receive
four dollars in road work for each 'dollar of coun
ty funds expended. In other cases where state'
co-operation only is provided the county will re- .
ceive two dollars for one in road expenditures.
Such an opportunity will never come to Morrow
County again. The generous state appropria
tions provided by our last legislature will soon be
exhausted and we must provide a means of get
ting our share. The State Highway Commis
sion will help only those who help themselves.
It must be borne in mind by the tax-payers and
voters of Morrow County that if we fail to vote
this bond issue we will be compelled to bear our
share of the expense of the state at large in the
ten million dollar issue while other counties
who do vote their local issues will get the full
benefit of the state's funds.
