Friday evening, the eve of the

"routers' " caps, which were
made by the sophomore girls.
Then they marched through the
streets in serpentine form while
giving the school yells with much
ttusto. Just as the advertise
ment of the Saturday football
game was thrown on the screen
at the Star the students march
ed through the theatre aisles

Later they halted in front of
the L'alace hotel and listened to
speeches made by each of the
football team.
Saturday evening the Heppner
hiiih school students gave an en
enjoyable reception to the visit
ing football team from Moro.
Speeches were made by Prof
Duncan, of Moro, and each mem
Oer of the Moro team, I'rof. Huff
man, Garnet Mar rati, anil Leo
Nickelsou, also spoke. There
was also some music, and games.
Punch was served by the nigh
school girls and the remainder
if the evening was pleasantly
spent in getting acquainted
with the visitors.

where he expected to identify
himself with the Observer, in
