The case grew out of a horse trade, after which Case became dissatisfied sud demanded the retuiu of the horse he bad traded to Vernon. Guard. At Eugene a young man named Stehlburg took three young ladles out riding In a two-seated buggy. Front street is being graded and one side is nearly two feet higher than the other. The occupant of the carriage were dragged some distance and bad ly bruised, and the horses soon broke loose.
