fallowing as a part of the scandal here
tofore mentioned in that eity: "The
tranquility of our little city was eon'
slderably disturbed last Thursday eve
ning by Geo. Howard compelling his
wife to march through the middle of
the streets at the point of a shot gun
thereby proving himself to be as igno
rant as he Is eowardly. He said he hud
found his wife in an altogether cm-
promising position with an ex-repre-
seutatlve of this county who Is now
citizen of Harrishurg."
The Waterloo Development company
have filed articles of incorporation in
the office of the secretary of state
for the puipose of acquiring, by pur
chase or other wine, lands, water, water
rights, and water power at or near
Waterloo, Linn county, and to use the
same for the puipose of generating
power to run mills of all kinds, facto
ries, electric plants, and electric power,
and to build, lease or own everything
necessary to carry on their business.
The principal office of the company
will be at Wuterloo, Linn county, after
Jan. 1, 1802, and until that time at Al
bany. The amount of capital stock is
170,000, divided Into shares of $100 each

Roy Stuart, the invalid son of C. J.
Stuart, the 0. P. conductor, had a mo t
