WATERLOO WHISPERS.
Waterloo had her share of people on
the Fourth, a crowd equal to auy here
before. All seemed to enjoy the day
and left as happy as though they had
been to Portland, Eugene etc.
A number of tents are to be seen on
the camping grounds and, also quite a
number of boarders at the Waterloo
hotel. All enjoying the soda water.
Mr. Khun has commenced harvest
ing peas for Kay & Weatherford.
A party of engineers are surveying
the Kay & Weatherford property here.
Forty acres will be laid out in toii
lots.
Joe Kluui, supposed to be the best
angler in this vicinity, haB gone to
Sweet Home for larger fish, having

of July a series of meetings will com
mence ut this place, in the Waterloo
grove. Come one come all both saint
aud sinner, all are cordially Invited.
Mrj. Jas. Davidson went to Lebanon
to visit relatives' and'will return Wed
nesday. Don't think for a moment that
Waterloo is dead; no, never! Waterloo
is as lively as could be expected and
booming too.
