A numlierof men have been at work

When this road Is completed it will
shorten the route to the mines, anil
obviate the necessity of a lomr, monot

an iutKrtu to the mining industry lu

Money has already been furnished by

worthy's recent visit to Portland will
have the oiled to still further swell the
subscription to this luudubiu enterprise.

those and others wo waul to j?iiy that we are in dead earnest
about Belling for cash, but we are tilling cheap.
Now as a business nrojiosition, is it not belter to buy for
cash and get your goods cheap, than to buy on long tiinu
and pay a big prolitr
im cretlit house tan sell cheap; thev mmt add an extra
profit to carry bad bills, for they are sure to make bad ac
counts. Iso credit house can

There are lots of people in

goods, and I go on the plan that it is better to sell two pahs
of shoes for cash at 25 cents profit than to sell ono pair at
50 cent3 profit on credit better for me and better for tho
buyer.
If you cannot get the cash
your eggs and chickens, and if
mem, raise mem; mey are always as goxi as cash, and are
much more plentiful than the hard cash if people would
only raise them.
The day of high prices is past. JTho poor cannot .pay it:
even the rich cannot afford to pay it.-"--Give me a chance to
sell you some cheap goods, but do not forget to bring tho
cash. This means everybody. .
