Has this community anything to be

We are and have been free from
pestilence, famine and contagious
diseases during the year; we have
happy, contented and industrious
people; we have orderly and well
regulated homes, and business firm*
with whom it ia safe and economical
to trade, we have the sunshine and
the rain that brings the harvest’s
golden grain, and the dairy cow
whose productivity keeps us supplied
with the paper and coin that saves
us 85k. Yes, we have plentv to be
thankful for, and we are.
Business is good. The farmer
sells a load of wheat, and all the
world grows fair and sweet, he hums
a couple of cheerful tunes, and pays
the grocsr for his prunes The gro

ahoeman thinks God sent, and runs
and nays it on the rent. Next day
the rent man hands the bill to Dr.
Carver for a pill. And Dr. Carver
tells hia frau that business is im
proving now, and cheers her up and
says. "Mv dear, you've lieen quite
feeble for a year. I'm thinking you
should have a rest; you’d better take
a trip out weat.*' And in a couple of

There's miles of smiles, scarce any
