Violet Crenshaw was taken to the

erated upon for appendicitis. Dr.
Wallace performed the operation,
which was found to be a bad case,
the appendix being ruptured. She
is reported getting along nicely.
Gladys Chapelle returned to her
home in Woodburn Monday, after
attending the week here visiting at
the S. F. Zysset and W. A. Gilkey
homes.
Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Zysset and
family drove to Wrens Sunday to
visit a daughter, Mrs. Claude Hyde.
Marian Gilkey spent the week-end
at Aumsville and attended the Chris
tian Endeavor party there Saturday
night.
Herman Zeller drove up from
Beaverton Saturday night, return
ing Monday morning.
Mr. and Mrs lra Robinson and
family drove to Aumsvills Sunday
to visit relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. 0. J. Goar and fam
ily took a trip up the Columbia
Highway to The Dalles and back a
week ago Sunday.

first time in nearly four years, hav
ing recently returned from Califor
nia. She gave a very interesting
talk on the canning of fruit in Cali-
fofnia. Refreshments were served
to 16 members present.
The quarterly convention of the
County Farmers’ Union will meet at
Riverview school house Saturday.

Allen Gilkey had his hand badly
hurt last Friday while working for
the Alco Wood Co. at Albany. It is
feared he may have to have one An
