county, the announcement Saturday
that U E. Eichinger had made up
hia mind to contest with the several
men from Brownsville ami vicinity
for the honor of beiigt sheriff of
Linn county was modi acceptable.
Mr. Eichenger nerds no Intro
duction to the citizens of thia com
munity. where he is well known
and umversall) liked, but to the
people of the county at large. It is
well to say that he would come into
office unhampered and with no
strings attached Io him. He is known
a* a law abiding citizen, champion
of the right of the people, and foe
to the wrong doer.
