The big Thankagivmg dance given
at the Richards >n Gap hall was a
success and much enjoyed, especially

will spend a week or so with his
daughter.
The old man made a trip to Scio
Tuesday with a load of squash. cab
bage and green onions, as he has too
many to keep over winter.
The Santiam Farm was surprised.
The high winds and heavy rains of
last week caused the old house roof,
built in 1852. to spring a leak, caus
ing the old man to get a supply of
shingles. John Griffin volunteered
to go aloft and make the roof as
good as new, so now it can rain as
there is no one out.
