When Senator Harry Lane reads
the storm of indignation his sena-
torial action on the armed neutrality
bill aroused all over the state of
Oregon, regardless of any party
affiliation, he will conclude that the
darned bill was loaded so that it
would shoot at both ends. At least
the charge that hit the senator has
dug his political grave in Oregon.
He will not thoroughly realise the
ignominy until he returns to Ore
