for the people's choice. Now this does not suit
many persons who have legislative aspirations, a
little bit They are willing, as a rule, to pledge
themselves to vote for their ¡arty's choice for
United States Senator, but not for some other
party's choice.
This is proiiably what the framers of the Pri­
mary law had in mind when the law was formu­
lated. That is to say, that each ¡«arty should name
its choice for United States Senator on election day
and that legislators, who may be elected by each
party on the same «lay, should vote for its choice
when the day for electing senator by the Legisla­
