Tribtufe. It seems that every coun
ty in Oregon, except those along
the John Day river, are becoming
aroused to the fact that good roads
in Eastern Oregon have become a
necessity to the growth and devlop
ment of the country. We .have
1
the most fesible route for a public I
highway to be fonndin this part of
the state: we have resources that,
under, present conditions cannot be
developed, and, yet we shut our ,

reach, and, as a matter of fact, j

of moisture the seeding will have
to be dine late this Fall or early
next Spring'. Late Fall seeding

in most cases.
, Get at work rh soon as posaibla
so that you will be ready to seed
when the conditions are favor
able. Double disk your ground
bo as to cut up all stubble and
trash and make a mulch. This
puts your ground in ideal condi
tion for plowing as it breaks up
tne hard top surface and when it
is . plowed it fits closely in the
bottom of the furrow uniting the
two layers of soil. This elimi
nates the air space and prevents
loss of moisture. Plow your
ground either a little shallower
or deeper than it was plowed last
time. If you have been plowing
eight inches deep plow eeven.or
if you have been plowing five
inches plow six this time, Th'.,
