N o radical will ever head the legion either in sta te or national departm ents. Its leaders m ust be patriotic, cautious, and w ise. T he country at large can have faith in the Am erican Legion to do the right th in g a lw ays despite th e propaganda o f th e selfish in terests and the jealous.
