I decided to do a little e x

wa headed in to th ’ thick

step p ed out in to a little o p

o f trees on th ’ oth er sid e o f
th ’ c le a r in ’ cam e a roar.

ju m p ed an ape. and right
a fte r him a big, savage
crocodile.

It cam e to me then th at this
m ust be th ’ sam e island,
and th a t th ’ ape w as really

W ith my gun ready, ami
R angy and S in goot by my
aide, I tore a fte r th a t croco
dile. W oogie w a sn ’t go in ’
to be gobbled up by that
u gly critter if I could help.
Then w e saw th* crocodile,
ju st about to pounce on
W oogie. 1 w as liftin ' my
gun to sh oot th ’ critter
when I trip p ed on a rock
and bang when m y gun.
When I g ot th ’ d irt out of
my ey es and looked around

S in g o o t and W oogie didn’t
have th a t crocod ile pinned
to th ’ ground. I cu t a piece
o f tough vine and in a jiffy
we had him tied so tig h t he
co u ld n ’t grunt. W oogie w as
so glad to see me again th at
he danced around and a l

cried.
