kinds of houses, some of
stone, some of bricks, o th ­

rich oil would be pressed
out and m ade into soup,
cold cream , and such like
O ur big a d v e n tu re of th ’
day was when we rode a
w ater-buffalo. We were go-
in* along fine, ta k in ’ in th '
scenery, when u m easly
sw ab of a dog hove alo n g ­
side, b a rk in ’ and nnappin’
a t th ’ buffalo’s heels. T h ’
old boy d id n ’t like th ’ heel-
n lp p ln ’ business so he lit
out w ith us b an g in ’ on and
w onderin’ w hat w as goin’ to
happen next. We soon found
out. Mr. B uffalo crashed
th ro u g h a bam boo fence and
overboard we went. W hen
we picked ourselves up th ’
buffalo and dog w ere gone
and a g rin n in ’ native was
w aitin ’ to collect ten d o lla rs
fo r his wrecked fence. So
we called it a day and w ent
back ab o ard th ’ schooner.
