county, A. C. G age, editor f th e P o rtlan d Angora
Journal, tald a C ottage Grove audience. Mr. Gage
says g o ats are not only profitable for th e m ohair
but also revitalize ru n dow n soil. In th is regard
he points out th at not as m any acres are under
cultivation in the W illam ette valley as th ere were
40 years ago.
