If he can convince Mr. I larding that that Is so, the president may feel constrained, just to be consistent, you know, to put Mr. Debs back again. i ft has been said In behalf of Elbert Bede, of the Cottage Grove Sentinel, that he knows the printing business through out, that he has done a sucess ful business in publishing a newspaper and that he has pushed his way to the front among the newspaper men of the state. All these are strong points In his favor, but even better things than these can be said of him. He has done . all these things in a manly and honorable way; and he has made a clean, sensible and practical newspaper, and one which has served his community well.
