The first meeting: of the Kensing
ton club for this season was held at
the home of Mrs. J. W. Coffin lust
Friday ard took' the natfire of a
Hallowe'en party. The rooms were
beautifully decorated with autumn
loaves, flowers and appropriate Hal
lowe'en figures. In the darkened
rooms the members and guests of the
club nsHembled, all being masked,
some representing well known comic
figures. A feature of the afternoon
was guessing the Identity of those
present.
One of the most laughable incidents
of the afternoon was when one of the
members, dressed as an Indian and
purporting to soli bnskets, answered
n call at the door expecting to find

donald. The M. S. P. club was organized
at the home of Mrs. W. C. McLagan
this week. Mrs. McLagan was elect
ed president, Mrs. Frank Smltson,

tions were used. Delicious refresh
ments were served and all reported
a fine time.
METHODIST CHURCH
At the Methodist church there will
be a special service next Sunday
morning. Rev. S. A. Danford, D. D.,
who was formerly the pastor at this
place, but is now the superintendent
of the Southern district, will preach.
The sacrament of the Lord's Supper
will also be held. The regular serv
ices will be held in the evening. The
pastor will preach on the subject,
"Experimental Religion. We would
like to urge our young people to be
present at the Epworth league serv
ice also. There is some important
work to be done this winter and It
is time we were laying plans.
