After several mouths, of the , "rest
cure" the organization, at It meeting
last week showed more genuine "pep"
and waded- through more business
than at any previous meeting. Near
ly twenty members were present, and
by. comparison with the attendance
cf commercial bodies of other towns
this 1s good.
A number of the business men and
residents of Springfield are beginning
to take active Interest In the civic
pride and welfare of their town and
community.
Given a body of this kind the future
business life of Springfield gives
promise of attaining the highest and
best standards.

seventeen persons in the last ten
years.

some mistake in the figures for 1920, j
giving Springfield a population of only,
