within tho law's minimum require
ment. Out of a total of 170,000
minister in the United States, but
1,071 receive a big enough salary
to be required to pay any Income
tax.
These Incomes were not only pay
from churdies but included prt
yate earnings too. Hundreds of
ministers have been forced to en
gage In some occupation outside of
the ministry such as poultry rais
ing, barherlng, market gardening,
etc., to earn enough to feed and
clothe their families. These figures

lege trained preacher Is $937 ac
cording to established figures
