the amount of $125,000 per annum.

Lane county to date, is 16,756 accord
ing to the records' of "the county,
clerk's office. The Republicans have -practically

LICENSE BY JULY. FIRST
Every driver-of a motor vehic!a
in the state of Oregon must have a
license after July 1. This la In ac
cordance with a law passed at the
last session of the legislature. The
law also-providea that no person un
der 16 years of age shall be permitted
to drive a motor vehicle, norany
person physically defective except bv
special permit. .
The registration fee la 25 cents and
the license is perpetual. Registra
tion must be made with the secretary
of state's office.
