"THE TRAIL OF THE
LONESOME PINE''
A PLAY NOT A MOVIE
A SUPERB ACTING COMPANY CHOSEN ESPECIALLY
TO FIT THE PARTS ASSUMED. MARIE FULLER, H.
RAY SNEDEKER, LOYD CLARKE, VIOLET LAVERNE,
MORTIMER SNOW, AL MACDONALD, MARIE DEVERE
AND OTHERS.
NOTE Vaudeville,
the real kind be
tween each act of
play.
The poetic side of life in the Kentucky, mountains
is most beautifully portrayed in this famous play. The
Lonesome Pine from which the story takes its name was
a tall tree that stood in solitary splendor on a mountain
top. The fame of the pine lured a young engineer
through Kentuckey to catch the train, and when he final
ly climbed to its shelter, he found not only the pine but
tlie footprints of a girl, and the girl proved to be lovely
and piquant, and the trail of these girlish footprints led
the engineer a merry chase, and then oh, well, you have
most likely read the book, or if you haven't you will. , The
play as will be presented in your, theatre by the Snedecker
Company will be as interesting as the book.
