Drucker, of tho Uni versity of Oregon, spoke at the mon thly meeting of the Methodist Brother hood Monday evening. Professor Drucker is a Russian by birth and can. well Interpret the present conditions In Russia. Before the lecture a thirty five cent supper was served by the ladies ot Uio Aid Society. "Tho skill ot tho Russian and the German people Is unparalleled," said Profossor Drucker, "and tho result ot the present war is only a matter of who shall finally dominate. Official Makes Fraternal Visit Odd' Fellows Have Hoover Ban quet At Meeting Last Evening. The local chapter of the Odd Fellow lodge held their regular meeting last evening. A short business meeUng was held after which a "Hoover" ban quet waB served and a social evening followed. George w. Tretaer, of Ashland, grand master ot the lodge for Oregon, was present and gave a very Interest ing talk on tho principles ot good Odd Fellowship. Mr. Trcfner told of the work being done in tho Odd Fellows' home in Portland; The home js in a prosperous condition and there are at present about 30 grown people and 15 children inmates of the home. A new building has been completed lately and Mr. Trcfner described the con veniences and arrangements in Uir building.
