NEXT SATURDAY IS DOLLAR DAY The merchants of Springfield are staging Dollar Day next Sat urday, September 22. They are now preparing for this memor able eyent and will be ready to offer many bargains to the throngs of people that will be in Springfield on Dollar Day. There will be many beautiful and at tractive window displany. It will be worth your while to walk down through the business sec tion and see the many attrac tive bargains that will be shown in the windows so that you may have your selections made be fore the rush. .' .This nr.caclonis nbt-gniiig. ta be one in which every merchant is trying to unload his shoddy and out-of-date goods. Of course last season's goods will sell at a lower price than the newest styles. New fall goods will be on display and there will be plenty of choice for your sel ection. You should not be dis appointed in anything you may need. The merchants of Spring field can fit you out with any of the necessities as well as the lux uries and on Dollar Day many articles will be priced lower than they can be bought today in the wholesale market. The stores will be dressed up in holiday array and will look their best. The clerks will be on hand to attend to your wants and to help you to find the best bargains there are offered in each of the many stores that are lined up to make this Dol , lar Day a great success. A bargain is not the most or the cheapest things we can get for our dollars. Bargains are not bargains if we got them be cause they were cheap when we had no use for the articles. Bar gains are not real bargains if the buyer gets the goods and the seller has disposed of them for less money than he had to pay the wholesalers for the goods. A bargain is a transaction made between a consumer and mer chant where there is a real sav ing to the consumer, either be cause he could buy the article cheaper at this particular place than at other places or because the particular brand purchased cost no more than other kinds and would render the purchaser more real service than other articles.
