Ladles of the Women of
Woodcraft surprised the mem
bers Vf the "Woodmen of tho
"World at tlieir meeting Tuesday
evening, and provided lor a gen
eral social time following the
lodge session. Ice crdam and
cake were served. At the lodge
session delegates were elected
to attend the district conven-i
tion at Grants Pass May 17. The
delegates selected are; H. E.
Walker, O. F. Kiser and T. E.
Abeene: alternates L. E. Thomp-;
.son, J. F. Powers, and R. M.
Griffin. The district comprises
'.western Oregon from Lane
County south, ' and California
('points as far as Redding.
Claude Washburne, son of Mr.
and Mrs. B. A. Washburne, and
Miss Emo Hendershott of Eu
gene, were quietly married at
the Congregational parsonage,

attended only by immediate j

served at the Washburne home
here, and then the bride and

"Washburne is a native of Spring-;
field, and is assistant cashier of
the First National bank of June-
