iiii.itW,it4&liiiJl.'i'rlV'f I'! i t I i 1 1 I WHAT IS ELECTRICAL PROSPERITY WEEK? A'! Many people are asking "What Is Electrical Prosperity Week what will bo done during that week? " Louis D. Glbbs, a man prominent In the electrical Industry i has prob ably given the beat answer. Ills definition Is as follows: "Electrical Prosperity Week is n nation-wide opportunity for everyono to get acquainted with the now and up-to-date uses of elecriclty in home, store or factory. Every possible form of advertis ing is being used to attract the attention of the people to this weok, and to prompt them to ask questions about electricity and about electrical appliances. Tho Held is one of remarkable opportunities,' and tho inquirer is bound to bo made enthusiastic by what he learns. "Everyone connected with the busi ness hi any branch is ready to answer questions, and people need not bo afraid that they are going to be pressed to pur chase something, simply because they nsk a question, and show an Interest In elec trical appliances. "The wonderful developments in the uses of electricity have .conie along so rapidly that it has been absolutely impossible to keep the people informed. National advertisers, electrical appliance dealers and central station companies have not been able to keep pace with the growing interest. "The Society for Electrical Development has undertaken to get all of, the people in the electrical field telling what they know about its many things of interest to the public and talking all at the same time. "It will also mean a "Shop Early" opportunity. Electrical Prosperity Week will be observed from November 29 to December 4, inclusive. That is exactly three weeks before Christmas and thousands of people will welcome the opportunity to see electrical appliances under the most favor able conditions, make their selections and perhaps have their gifts wrapped up and ready for delivery in ample time." Oregon Power Co. i las 1 t t 1 ITU THE NfeW ADVCNTVlieS OFA1 K)U unquestionably will read in this paper the first of the New Adventures of a I Wallingford. You have never come across anything more rollicking; more Joyful and full of the soice of modern IKe! WelL all that vou will read has come to life. All that you will see has sprung into being. Wallingford, Blackie Daw, Violet and Osinn exist for you. They are coming to your theater. They arc going to enact all tha. you will read, and they are going to make you actually see all that you have seen in your imagination. But who is to play Walling'ord. and who is to play Blackie Daw? There is only one man in all America who could play Walliniford, and that is Burr HcInto3h. It was Mr, Mcintosh who Mr. Chester has always believed was the one man to bring Wallingford to life. There was no other man in the world who could so well handle BlackieDaw a3 Max Figraan, so both of them have been procured and appear in this cast. Playing Violet is Lolita Robertson, probably one of the most sincere actresses of tho day who have so far entered motion pictures. HEAD SEE THE TICTWRES THE ADVENTURES OF J.
