Grant, representing himself to be au
agent for the Hood Medicine Company,
called on J. II. Miller and prevailed on
him to advance V on f 22 check on the
Ijine County Bank, made by Henry
Mursh, payable to James Orant. Grady
told Mr. Miller that be would engage
board for half dozen teams when tho
medicine company arrived, which would
be in a day or two. The following day
Grady ys missing, and learning that a
man had Un arrested at Albany for
working the same name, Mr. Millar tolo-

authorities at Albany dismissed their
ca?o and allowed the prisoner to be
