METRO SOUTH TRANSFER
STATION MATERIAL
RECEIVING, RECOVERY,
AND TRANSFER OPERATIONS
Metro is requesting proposals for Material Re-
ceiving, Recovery and Transfer Operations at Metro
South Transfer Station. The work will involve material
receiving, recovery and transfer at Metro South Sta-
tion (MSS). Proposers for past operations of Metro’s
transfer stations will notice significant changes in this
RFP and should read all materials thoroughly prior to
submitting proposals.
Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Tour
A voluntary pre-proposal conference and tour of
Metro South will be held at 2001 Washington St., Ore-
gon City, OR 97045 on February 13, 2019 from 7:00 to
9:00pm. Interested proposers and subcontractors are
encouraged to attend the conference in order to gain
information about the RFP requirements. The Oregon
Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) will be up-
dated with an agenda closer to the date. Metro has in-
vited several local Community Based Organizations
(CBO) to the Pre-Proposal Conference. These organi-
zations work in the areas that Metro is emphasizing in
this RFP: Workforce Diversity and Contractor Diver-
sity. Metro is envisioning this pre-proposal conference
as an opportunity for potential proposers to get ac-
quainted with potential local resources.
Proposals are due no later than March 25, 2019 at
2:00pm at the Metro front desk at 600 NE Grand Ave-
nue, Portland OR 97232.
