California ISO (CAISO) master file. Monitor changes
that CAISO puts out and apply the changes in PGE’s
Bid to Bill and Asset Operation Systems. Follow
changes to western Energy Imbalance Market (EIM)
rules that will impact PGE financially and
operationally. Provide post trade-day analytics to
Merchant Operations to facilitate. Design and create
reporting tools in Merchant Operations systems.
Create and maintain a tool to support plant
performances. Present post analytics on Plant and
Bidding performance using Profit and Loss report for
generating plant performance. Provide timely oral
and written communication through regular status
reporting to traders. Validate Power Cost Impacts
associated with daily shadow settlement. Create with
the compilation and presentation of the operation
report, which delivers valuable financial feedback to
Real Time Operations Group.
Experience and Required Skills:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Programming, Mathematics or closely
related field (or foreign equivalent), 3 years of
experience in energy market analysis and market
modeling, 2 years of experience with EIM/real-time
trading applications (OATI, PCI, PI datalink), 2 years
of experience with CAISO EIM market, 2 years of
experience with optimization tool (CPLEX) used in
wholesale organized power market, 1 year of
experience with optimizing generation portfolio, and
1 year of experience with various trading positions
including options, swaps, futures, forward contracts,
