The Information Services Department, a Department of Metro, a metropolitan service district organized under the
laws of the State of Oregon and the Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, is
requesting proposals for Replacement of Metro Council Chamber Video Broadcast Video Production System.
Sealed proposals are due no later than 2:00pm, February 17, 2016, in Metro’s business offices at 600 NE Grand
Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, Attention: Karen Slusarenko, RFP 3111.
A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232, in Council
Chambers on January 27, 2016 at 2:00pm. Interested proposers and subcontractors are encouraged to attend the
conference in order to gain information about the RFP requirements.
The purpose of this RFP is to seek proposals from qualified firms to provide all engineering, pre-installation plans,
installation, configuring, testing, documenting, and training of Metro staff plus 60 days of follow up consulting to
remedy any installation specific issues as described in the agreed upon statement of work based on this RFP for
Replacement of Metro Council Chamber Video Broadcast Video Production System.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Oregon Zoo Education Center project consists of two new buildings totaling
approx. 20,000 sf. at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon. The Interpretative and Exhibit elements are mainly in the
larger NESt/Flex Auditorium building which includes the new Insect Zoo, NESt, Turtle Lab, Backyard Habitat and
other interior/exterior spaces.
BID PACKAGE SCOPE: This scope of this Bid Package is to contract the entire package to a turnkey
subcontractor for the design and construct of the interpretive and exhibit elements described in the Bid Documents.
The drawings and specifications provided in the Bid Documents are considered to be 100% Design Development,
are not for construction and are for the purpose of depicting design intent and programming only. The successful
turnkey subcontractor shall complete design, “for construction” drawings and other documents necessary for the
installation of all scopes under this Bid Package. Engineering will be required for certain portions of the scope. The
trade scopes included in this turnkey package are, but are not limited to, drawings and engineering, deferred
submittal permits, graphics design, applied graphics & signage, millwork, rough carpentry, glass/glazing,
specialties, painting, electrical and other scopes. Refer to the Bid Documents for more information.
