The Oregon Zoo, a Department of Metro, a metro-
politan service district organized under the laws of the
State of Oregon and the Metro Charter, located at 600
NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, is
requesting sealed bids for a General Contractor for
Fabrication and Installation of Oregon Zoo Campus
Wayfinding at the Oregon Zoo.
Sealed bids are due no later than 2:00pm, Pacific
Time on November 19, 2015, in Metro’s business
offices at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR
97232-2736, Attention: Karen Slusarenko, RFB
3080.
A voluntary Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for all
potential prime and sub-contractors on November 3,
2015, at 10:00am in the Skyline Room of the Cascade
Crest Banquet Center at the Oregon Zoo, 4001 SW
Canyon Road, Portland, Oregon (no admission
required). Interested sub-contractors are also
invited.
Work consists of directional and informational
signage that will guide visitors around the Oregon
Zoo. For a large and complicated campus such as the
zoo, a well-planned and designed wayfinding system
is critical for visitor orientation and comfort. This way-
finding system must be simple and prominent, as it
will compete for attention with other signage. It is
imperative that wayfinding be consistent throughout
the zoo.
The General Contractor for Fabrication and
Installation of Oregon Zoo Campus Wayfinding will be
responsible for managing and overseeing this project
from inception to completion.
All bidders submitting a bid for public
improvements over $50,000 certify that they will pay

applicable 40 U.S.C.276a.
