Portland Community College (PCC) seeks applications for
the position of Instructor, Trades. This is a full time (1.0 FTE)
probationary faculty position commencing September 2015.
Hours of work may include evening or weekend teaching
assignments. Initial assignment will be at the Cascade
Campus. Portland Community College (PCC) is the largest
institution of post-secondary education in Oregon, serving
more than 95,000 students. The college district is located in
Northwest Oregon, and offers classes through four campuses
and three workforce training centers, and at approximately
200 other locations throughout the district. A growing distance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (meeting minimum qualifications

Apprenticeable Trade.

INSTRUCTOR, TRADES
This position is part of Cascade’s Trades and Industry
Department located at the Swan Island Trades Center, a
20,000 square-foot training facility in Portland’s unique urban
industrial district. The successful candidate will support Trades
and Industry with our pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and/
or degree and certificate efforts. Apprenticeship programs
include: Limited Maintenance Electricians, Millwrights, Industrial
Mechanics, Manufacturing Plant Electricians and Stationary
Engineers. Degrees and certificates include a two-year Facilities
Maintenance Technology degree and less-than-one year HVAC
Installer’s Certificate.
COMPENSATION
2014-2015 salary range - $50,374/yr to $87,351/yr. Hires
will normally be at Step 1, Step 2, or Step 3, depending on
experience. 2015/2016 salary range subject to negotiations.

The City of Vancouver (the City) is seeking
proposals from community based organizations to
implement a new Vancouver-based Small Business
Assistance Program.
Request for Proposal packets may be examined at
